The Holiday Season in Guangzhou: Part 1

A friend and I spent yesterday afternoon drifting through Guangzhou in search of a street that was meant to have a large selection of Christmas decorations.  That story must be kept to a separate post, but for now I leave you to these few photos from a shop that we entered.  The amount of color was unreal, and the pictures live up to reality.

Wow! That must have been an amazing walk. The photos are beautiful, Guangzhou looks much more colorful than NYC at Christmas.

This particular area is more colorful than other parts of the city. I don’t think I could compare the two places visually. On the Macro scale, New York makes far more sense and I find it to be more appealing visually. Finding beauty on the streets of China is all about looking for the small things – the shops, the snacks, the street workers. There is so much happening that you end up loosing perspective, until a much closer inspection is given.
